Melissa
Esthetics Department Manager, WI Licensed Esthetician
Hello, my name is Melissa. I have been with Kneaded Relief since 2000. I graduated from Martin’s College of Cosmetology in 1999, earning a License of Esthetics. I started working as an esthetician in my hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Then I decided it was time to step outside of my hometown and experience Madison. Kneaded Relief has been the only spa I have worked at since I moved here. You may ask yourself, why? The reason is Kneaded Relief has a great team and a welcoming atmosphere.
Throughout the years, I have expanded my knowledge by taking classes at the Conservatory of Esthetics, now known as, the Bioelements Learning Center and by studying and discovering new information and techniques in my field of practice. In every treatment I provide, my goal is to teach the importance of skin care and to customize an everyday regimen for each individual’s specific needs. I also would like to help each individual relax, by finding their inner peace so they can leave the stress of everyday life behind them. I look forward to seeing you soon!
“When I turned 40 I decided to get more serious about taking care of my skin. Kneaded Relief was close to my house so I wanted to give it a try. I was randomly matched to Melissa and am forever grateful. From my first facial appointment I could tell she would teach me a lot about caring for my skin. She made a point to share what she noticed, positive and negative, and gave me simple and practical advise to continue with home care. I look forward to returning every six to eight weeks to experience her professional care. Thank you Melissa for helping me have a more positive relationship with my skin. It was a long time coming.”
Melissa has the distinct honor of being voted Madison’s Best Esthetician for 3 years running!
Mae
WI Licensed Esthetician
Hello, my name is Mae and I am an Esthetician at Kneaded Relief. I was born in Tucson, Arizona and moved to Madison when I was five.
My journey into esthetics began when I was very young. From the time I was in elementary school I loved mixing my own masks in the kitchen, giving my friends facials, or doing their makeup. In 2019 I graduated from Aveda Institute with my Esthetician license. From there I worked at a waxing studio, specializing in all things brows. Since Aveda I have expanded my knowledge in eyebrow artistry by taking classes with world renowned artist Claudia Odey of Co Brow Couture.
After the waxing studio, I decided to join Kneaded Relief to expand my knowledge of facials. Whether preforming brow services, waxing, or facials, what I love is helping others build confidence. We all have our insecurities, but I want every client to know I fully accept them and think they are beautiful exactly the way they are. I aim to create an inclusive space so everyone I work with will leave feeling informed, empowered, and relaxed.
Welcome to Kneaded Relief, I can’t wait to meet you!
“Wonderful experience. Just the escape I was hoping for.”
“It was beyond wonderful! Mae was professional, thoughtful and knowledgeable. I booked another appointment before leaving.”
Sydni
WI Licensed Esthetician
Hello, my name is Sydni and I am an esthetician here at Kneaded Relief Day Spa and Wellness.
I grew up in the small town of Warren, Illinois. I was a three-sport athlete as well as a member of FCCLA and was on the academic bowl team. I loved growing up in my small town! I thought for a long time that I would never leave but as I got older, I realized I needed more. I decided to branch out and move to Wisconsin to start my own path. Outside of work you will find me in the gym, hanging out with my cat, trying a new recipe or spending time with friends and family.
I have always had a passion for all things skincare but let’s starts from the beginning. When I was a little girl, I took dance classes. That kicked off my fascination for makeup. A core memory for me is my mom and I spending an hour in the bathroom getting me all dolled up before it was time for me to step on stage. I remember being so excited to put on my bright red lip stick with a shiny gloss on top. I would then proceed to stare at myself in the mirror until it was time to go. Fast forward to high school, I was always the go to girl when someone needed their makeup done. From proms to homecoming to even family get togethers, my weekends were full. It wasn’t until my senior year that I came to realize the reasoning behind why I loved being a makeup artist wasn’t doing the makeup itself but the shift in confidence in my clients when it was done. I knew from that moment on I wanted enhancing people’s beauty and self-confidence to be my every day job. I want to make people feel as confident as I did with my bright red lip stick on. That’s when I found out about the esthetics program at Capri in Dubuque, IA and found my true passion for skincare. So, in 2021 after I graduated from high school, I took the first step in starting my dream career. Fast forward to today and my passion for helping people reach their skincare goal still holds true. I’m so excited to meet you and assist you in feeling like the best version of you!
“The service was everything I had hoped for and that is 100% thanks to Sydni!”
”Sydni’s service and skills were top notch”
Echo
WI Licensed Esthetician
Hello I’m Echo. I started my career in the wonderful world of Aesthetics in 2012 attending the “Paul Mitchell Academy of Skin” in Orange County, California.
My journey to skincare began when I was 18 years old. I had a successful career in the modeling industry and had the incredible experience of working with renowned photographers and makeup artists. It was through my favorite makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, that I was introduced to all things skin. I knew at that point that I would someday find myself in the field of skincare.
When my daughter was born in 2011, I knew it was time to start my new career. I also knew that southern California was the mecca of this industry and that I wanted to practice advanced esthetic techniques – delivering results driven treatments for my future clientele. Upon graduating, I landed an incredible opportunity at a revered doctor’s practice. He put me in charge of integrating a Med-Spa into his existing and very successful practice. I oversaw the development and implementation of the Med-Spa services while building out my personal studio within the Med-Spa. Dr. Lalonde thus was instrumental in the establishment of a loyal clientele and my skincare studio. Within two years, I bought the business from the doctor and moved into a brand-new space on PCH in Newport Beach, California. For 9 years, I cultivated a thriving business with a loyal clientele who consistently received the results they were looking for.
COVID took my business in 2020. However, from that loss, an unforeseen opportunity presented itself to relocate to Madison. A superior quality of life, education for my daughter and the amazing chance to meet Duke and Nichol at Kneaded Relief were waiting for myself, my daughter and this new chapter in our lives. I am so grateful to be here and look forward to meeting you and treating you!
We love Echo! Our skin does too! She’s warm, kind, knowledgeable, gentle and puts us to sleep every time.”
“Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and kind!”
