Ashley Ahlborn

WI Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

It’s a lucky path that led me to Kneaded Relief Day Spa. I spent that last five years living in Chicago with my partner, Allison. My parents still live in the Madison area, so after Allison and I got married, packed our apartment and traveled for three months, Madison was the place we landed. As I was looking for a supportive environment to work, I found out about Kneaded Relief and it couldn’t be a better place for me. The staff and location are just spectacular.

As far as qualifications go... I graduated valedictorian of my class from the Soma Institute: National Leader in Clinical Massage Therapy, in Chicago, in November 2006. While in Chicago, I was working for Fitness Formula Clubs and also doing in home massage. I am interested in all kinds of massage, though trigger point/deep tissue massage is my favorite; I really enjoy the feeling of accomplishment that both you and I feel after working through trouble areas.

In the future, my partner and I hope to have children, buy a home, and I will hopefully go back to school to become a Naturopathic Doctor (ND). I love learning about the human body and its unbelievable ability to heal itself with a little coaching. I crave more knowledge and a broader depth of skill to help every person heal. The next step in my journey is unfamiliar and I am so thankful to be welcomed into such an encouraging environment as my life unfolds.

Thanks for coming to Kneaded Relief Day Spa. I look forward to meeting you and doing all I can to help you heal.

Mary Ametani

WI Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hi! My name is Mary Ametani. I am a Wisconsin Registered and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. I have been practicing massage therapy since 1998 and I am a professional member of the International Massage Association. I have over 650 hours of training, including the following modalities: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Therapy, Sports Massage, Neuromuscular therapy, Reflexology, Lymphatic Massage, Sinus Massage, Aromatherapy, and Body Mobilization. I have also completed continuing education in Muscle Release Techniques for the treatment of chronic pain and repetitive use injuries such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Most recently, I have completed continuing education in LaStone Therapy.

I incorporate into each massage part of all these modalities, tailoring each massage to suit the individual needs of the client. I listen to what each client is telling me about his or her own physical symptoms and apply this to how I will effectively treat each person. Whether their needs are relaxation for stress relief or treatment of acute or chronic pain, educating clients on the benefits of plenty of water and teaching the importance of stretching are all keys to helping each client achieve their desired result. Take advantage of a massage therapist who will give you her undivided attention. You’ll be glad you did!

Vicki Haase

WI Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hello and Welcome! My name is Vicki Haase, my specialty is massage therapy and esthetics.

I graduated from Blue Sky School of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, located in Grafton WI in July 2000. Since I graduated, my life has taken many different turns; some planned, some were not. Through all, massage therapy has been there for me to fall back on. I have met many caring and knowledgeable people through massage that have taught me many different lessons- in massage and in life.

In 2007 I decided to expand my knowledge and go back to school for esthetics. I attended schooling at Martin’s College of Cosmetology here in Madison. I graduated March 2008.

I am pleased to be here and know that this is where I belong. I look forward to a long and prosperous career here at Kneaded Relief. Hope to see you soon. Peace and love.

Rin Ribble

WI Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Massage therapy has drastically changed my life. There was a time when I had no direction or vision of what my future was to be. Once I found my current path, everything else fell into place. I have never felt so fulfilled and happy, because I believe this is what I was meant to do. I am currently looking into broadening my education with physical therapy, which would allow me to help my clients even further. I am also looking forward to learning new techniques of massage to incorporate into my practice. I have been a massage therapist for several years and I have been at Kneaded Relief for most of my career. I feel that this is a second home to me and I love the staff and clients that I get a chance to work with.

I am currently working on two music degrees at the UW Stevens Point. I am a violinist specializing in classical and jazz performance. I have been playing music my entire life and decided it was time to make it a profession. I come back to Madison on breaks to see my family and friends and I always come back to work at Kneaded Relief Day Spa.

In my free time, I perform in a traditional Irish band, playing the fiddle and sometimes the guitar. I have played the violin for many years and I love music of all kinds. I am also very close to my family and try to spend as much time as possible with them, especially my nephew, Quinn.

Pam Rosecky

WI Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hi! My name is Pam Rosecky and I am a Massage Therapist here at Kneaded Relief. I graduated from Spirit Touch Ins. in 1998 and specialize in relaxation massage and chair massage (I’ve done 5,088 chair massages). Besides my specialties in massage, I also perform Energy Work. Energy Work is really my passion. Everything and everybody is energy. I love to open doors for clients to relax. Clients heal themselves when they can melt and go to the place within themselves that is peaceful and sweet. A big piece of advice I would give to my clients is that your body talks to you all the time, listen to it and become balanced and harmonized.

Before I became a MT I owned my own daycare for 11 years. I also was a Surgical Technician specializing in ear, nose & throat. At that time in my life I realized that I felt old, tired and unhappy and that I was in need to find my personal way. Massage School provided me with the personal growth that I was searching for. I am now much happier, healthier, positive and younger.

In my spare time, what brings me joy is playing in the dirt (gardening), reading, making jewelry, and traveling. I have been to Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia to visit relatives and foreign exchange students. I also traveled to Guam to see my first grandson.

One of my great experiences in life was in 2002 when I was part of the Massage Team for the Winter Olympics-Paralympics in Salt Lake City. The first athlete wheeled his chair into the massage room; he had no legs from the thighs down. He asked me, “ Is this going to bother you to work on an amputee?”. I replied without hesitation “Absolutely not”.

Landing the position at KR was a huge gift from above. Everyone is so professional and fun to work with. They treat you like family and want you to succeed. I am doing the dance of happiness for all that is presented to me.

“Life is good – enjoy. I am grateful to all who allow me into their personal space, Thank you” - Pam

Stephanie Sailing

WI Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hello, I’m Stephanie and writing to tell someone about myself and what I have done/and do in my life- well it wasn’t as hard as I thought.

I am a mother of two very independent young men (Jacob & Maxwell). They are the most important men in my life. When I have the time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, reading, playing volleyball, and watching sports. (Jacob keeps me informed of the who, when, where and which of our clashing teams has won/lost. We do agree on the Packers!)

When I went to massage school in Las Vegas, NV in 2002 (Dahan School of Massage), it was because I’ve always had the desire to help people feel better. When I arrived back in Wisconsin I quickly found a job with a chiropractic clinic. It was there that I saw how important massage could be in the healing process of a persons’ body (injured or not). After some time I was fortunate to work in a physical therapy clinic (only furthering my view of massage helping a person to recover).

It came as no surprise to family and friends when I decided my dream job would be to work for a NFL, NBA, or MLB team. That being decided, I never really saw myself in a spa.

I owe it to a friend who steered me to Kneaded Relief. She insisted that I would fit in well with the spa. I was reluctant at first, but after a very short time I saw the enjoyment of helping people in the spa atmosphere; plus, having other therapists and more tools to guide clients in being able to help themselves. I have since understood the friend was correct.

I hope you enjoy your time spent at Kneaded Relief as much as I do.

Erica Sain

WI Licensed Nail Technician, WI Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

My path to Kneaded Relief is not one intended to be on, but it is one that I am glad I followed.

Allow me to share with you a little about myself. I am an only child and a capital city girl. I was born in Springfield, IL, and then lived in Minneapolis for a short stint. For the past twenty-some years of my life I have resided in the town I’ve grown to love and consider my home- Madison.

I am also the proud single mother of a beautiful baby girl, Jade Willow. She is my world and much of my motivation in life today. I enjoy camping, laughing with friends and live music.

I received my massage therapist training at Lakeside and gained my manicurist license at Martin’s School of Cosmetology. I always knew the career I chose would entail bringing joy to other’s lives and putting smiles on their faces. These careers are a perfect fit for those aspirations. And now I am a part of the Kneaded Relief family who has welcomed me with open arms. I couldn’t dream of better people to work with.

I look forward to seeing your face and providing you with relaxing services in this beautiful facility.

Jessy Skonecki

Hello, my name is Jessica Skonecki and I am a licensed massage therapist. When people ask me, “Why massage therapy?” my response is: “Because I have been doing it since I can remember.” At age 3, once I had more balance with walking, I would walk on my mom’s back. As I got older I would massage her after her long days at work. It was something I had a natural knack for.

I grew up in Oshkosh, WI where I attended high school. When I was 20 years old I moved to Milwaukee and enrolled in Lakeside School of Massage Therapy. I graduated in 2005 and received my license. I am proud to say that I have a job that I love!

In the Milwaukee area I worked at a Salon and Spa. After a few years I became an independent contractor and started my own business. It was going great until the economy took a turn. I closed down shop and decided I needed to make a major, more positive change in my life which brought me to Madison on January 2010. I am very excited to work with all of these amazing people and be able to live in a positive environment again. I look forward to meeting you and giving you your Kneaded Relief!

LaCouir Yancey

WI Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

I am a husband and a father. I graduated from East-West Healing Arts Institute located in Madison, Wisconsin in June 2002. After which, I became nationally certified and registered with the state. I am currently a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and I am an instructor of Pressure Point Location and Tuina Integration techniques at the East West Healing Arts Institute.

I have over 15 years of experience in competing, coaching and teaching gymnastics. My passions are music, martial arts and dance. Along with the study of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and TCM theory of healing, I feel I have a strong understanding of the body’s sensory and mechanical functions, and the importance of physical and emotional balance to maintain good health.

I believe that the combination of eastern and western therapeutic massage modalities can truly benefit the healing process of the mind, body, and spirit. I am convinced that choosing a career in massage therapy and bodywork has truly enriched my life and others around me. I hope that one day I can share these gifts with you.
